In case you were wondering.....

.....this is what I would look like as an M&M.
Oh Yeah Baby!
I discovered my alter ego here!

Friday Favorite-Sunday Edition

Yes, I know, I've struggled with keeping up with the Friday Favorite. It's not that I don't think about it or have one waiting, it's just that, these days, it's not always easy remember what day it actually is. So here is my oh so exciting Friday Favorite. It's impressive.
OK, so I'm lame, but these M&M's are absolutely fabulous!
This was really the best I could do. I'll try again next week, but I'm not making any promises. Just read my next Friday Favorite while eating some of these M&M's and you'll forgive my lack of....whatever. And pick up a package for me too!

Fantasy Versus Reality

The Fantasy
Lounging around and resting as much as possible. Preferably in a fabulous spa where there are always very quiet people around to take care of your every need at any given moment. And where you never, ever, ever see a bill.

The Reality
THIS!

Reality always kicks Fantasy's trash. And usually mine too.

Drum Roll Please......

I have finally determined the winners of the two giveaways, thanks to Random.org and finally figuring out how to use it without spending my life on the computer.

The winner of the $25 gift card to Flaky Friends is commenter #49, Memarie Lane!
She wrote, "I like Priscilla the Llama. She looks like she just passed gas or something, LOL!"
Ms Memarie Lane is actually expecting a baby in a few weeks so hopefully she'll be able to find something wonderful for her baby.

Since there was such positive response to the All Things Good Store Giveaway and my mom was feeling generous, we will be giving a $25 gift card to TWO lucky commenters.
The first one goes to commenter #42, Lisa, who wrote "Great giveaway! Thanks!"
The second one goes to commenter #120, Purplepassion126! She wrote, "Lots of great stuff on her site--I'm gonna be doing some shopping!" It looks like you've got a $25 head start!

Also, at All Things Good Store, the 25% discount will continue through the end of August and anyone who registers as a new customer at the site (no purchase necessary!) by August 15 will automatically get a $10 gift card to the store.

I will be emailing these lovely ladies with the exciting news as soon as I can....most likely tomorrow. If I haven't heard from the winner within, say, one week, then I will pick a new winner because no one wants to see a good gift card go to waste!

Thank you so much to our sponsors ;o) for donating the objects of these giveaways and to everyone who has entered and made this so much fun.

A Few More Giveaways!

Not mine, of course, because I'm up to my eyeballs in the two that I already did. But there are still a few giveaways going out there and I thought I would pass a couple along.

The first one is definitely for a good cause. It's over at Spork Fashion and they are doing a giveaway through Project Have Hope. Here's a little information about them....

"Project Have Hope was created by photojournalist Karen Sparacio as a way to not only feed the people of Uganda, but give them a way to feed themselves. Money raised by Project Have Hope goes towards building schools and giving women loans to start their own businesses. But Project Have Hope doesn’t just request donations. They employ local women to create jewelry, paying them fair wages, and helping them sell their wares worldwide. All proceeds go right back to the village."

The prize is for a matching necklace and bracelet made by the Ugandan women and also a CD of music by local musicians. And even if you don't win, there are many beautiful and affordable things to buy at ProjectHaveHope.org. You have until August 11 to enter so hurry!

And over at Mommy Confessions she's doing a bunch of giveaways for her 100th blog post party. Lots of fun stuff going on with some very funny posts. So head on over there if you're in a partying mood. Or not. You'll have fun either way!

Well, that's all I have for now. If I find anymore I'll pass them along to you. Because isn't that what being a stay at home mom is really about?! Winning stuff from other peoples blogs? I mean, who really needs a clean house if you know you have cool presents coming in the mail!

Moment Of Irony

Here is my ironic conversation from last week. I was getting ready to go out for my girls night out to get the much awaited book "Breaking Dawn". Yes, I know. I'm just a glorified teenager.

Anyway, CG had picked up some dinner at the almighty McDonald's for him and the kids since I was going to be going out. He was in the other room assisting my Dad in trying to find the source of the leak that was dripping into the basement and creating much havoc. It's like the house somehow knew that I was going out so it spontaneously started leaking. I was in the kitchen keeping one eye on the girls and one eye on the clock and one eye on my skirt trying to decide if I could get away without ironing it (I couldn't, by the way). That's when I saw that Lolly was dunking a chicken nugget in her caramel sauce, which would not have been a big deal except that Lolly did not get chicken nuggets. CG got chicken nuggets.

So the conversation went a little something like this:

me: "Lolly, what are you doing?!"
Lolly: blank stare in my general direction, pause, then "I'm dipping the chicken in the caramel sauce".....duh...
me: "We don't just take what we want from other people's dinners!".....as I pick up CG's drink and take a big ol' swig.....without asking.....

It's a good thing that I'm the parent and I set such a good example for my children. You can send condolence e-cards to my email and I will pass them on to the girls. At the very least I will show it to them.....at some point.

And, in case all my new and old devoted readers were wondering, I have not forgotten about the giveaway. I'm still just trying to figure out how to do the random drawing part. It will be posted as soon as I can manage that along with a sick baby and cranky toddler and all the other stuff that makes my life so glamorous.

Stay tuned for further information.....

Pure Vanity

I'm just sitting over here in my little corner enjoying all the comments and traffic that will most likely be gone after the contest is over! What a fragile little ego I have. Oh well. Enjoy it while you got it, I say!

Friday Favorites-Book Parties!

In just a few short hours, at exactly midnight, a book that I have anxiously been waiting for, will finally be released!
Yes, that's right. Breaking Dawn is finally being released tonight! YAY! And I'm going to a book party at a fun local book store with one of my bestest friends. I'm so excited!! It'd not just a girls night out, but a girls night out with a fabulous book at the end!!! Waaahoooo!
Now I just have to figure out when exactly this weekend I'm going to have time to read.....
