First of all, thank you to all of you who expressed empathy for my current dental plight. And because you guys are so thoughtful I thought I would keep you abreast (hee hee, makes me giggle just typing that) of my situation.
I went to my dentist on Monday and my stupid tooth is indeed abscessed again. He's going to attempt some sort of root canal treatment magic to see if he can save it from itself and if that doesn't work, it will have to be pulled. Here's the exciting part. The next available appointment long enough to do all that fun stuff is Thursday. Not day after tomorrow Thursday, but a week from tomorrow Thursday. Two full weeks after the pain started. Yay. Which is where the "suck it up" part comes in. I'm thinking (knock on wood) that the antibiotic is finally starting to help out with the pain. But if not, I have my dear friend Demoral to help me each night once the girls are being safely monitored by CG. Bless the heart whoever it was that invented Demoral. It's gotten me through many a painful moment.

That's horrible! I hope something works for the pain.
hmmm time to find another dentist?? j/k I understand.
I cannot imagine how people dealt with toothaches years ago. Next time you are at Lagoon check out the old dental equipment in Pioneer Village. It will make you cringe. I am sorry you are in so much pain.
Dentists should keep two or more appointments open for painful cases. Two weeks is a long time to have to deal with that. Mouth pain is the WORST!
I hope you're feeling better but until then sweet (though slightly hopped up)dreams my dear!
I had to wait 2 weeks for a root canal. It sucked so much! I even cried in the dentist's bathroom after they told me how long I would have to wait.
I feel for you. Hang in there.
Sad teeth affect EVERYTHING. Head, ears, sinuses ... and I swear they even make your elbows throb.
I'm shocked that you have to wait that long. Doesn't he understand the meaning of "emergency"? And "kick out the old lady's denture check-up so that you can help me sleep at night?"
I would complain.
I'm sorry! I'm glad the medicine is at least helping. Do you ever just think about just knocking them out? I heard it is working for Babs...
