The First Book of The IBC

We now have a fabulous new book club that is sure to be uplifting and enlightening for us all. Kristina P. has been nominated president about 20 times so she can be our fearless leader! I'll be the official snack master or some other important role like that. Francesca and Rychelle will be our official out of town guests, although I think if they really tried and loved us enough they could make it to each meeting. So can Peewee, wherever she's been lately. But now comes the important part...what shall our first book be? I'm currently reading Coaching Soccer for Dummies and that's far too appropriate for our club. Suggestions, anyone?! Jo?

Rychelle-Seeing as I'm the Snackmaster you have no need to fear. They will be fabulous. And, if not, there will be chocolate.

Kristina-Porn can only bring friends closer together!

Jo-You were just singled out because you asked what the first book would be so I thought you might have some good suggestions. And we all know how inappropriate you are!;o)

wow. I'm like FAMOUS!

"I'd like to thank all the little people..."

Annnnddd...The first book should be "We thought you'd be prettier" by laurie Notaro. Because we would laugh SO hard that it would burn a lot of calories, which would make up for all the snacks that you would make out of your fancy new kitchen!

Books and food and inappropriateness? I'm SO there!

Since we are looking for inappropriate books, why not choose one off the banned books list?

So I guess it is kinda telling that I have read probably a 3rd of the books on that list...

I would recommend starting with "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". Nothing like a good opium trip to kick off a new book club...

Then you could also work on the Collected Works of H.P Lovecraft. Those should be.. interesting... discussions.
