Kind Of Here But Not Really

In lieu of an actual, real live post, I'm going to send you to an article someone else posted that has got me thinking some thoughts.

It's from the Huffington Post....right HERE.

It's about gaslighting.  I found the article fascinating and fairly accurate.  Plus it made me feel all snooty because I read the Huffington Post, which is always an added bonus.

SO.  What do you think?

That was really interesting, I actually have a sister-in-law that does that. She will share her opinion or thought that she is well aware is hurtful and then when you have your jaw wide open she could be so...wow she jumps in and says things like "you know I'm joking" or "kidding" and then not only are your fillings hurt and you are annoyed you really can't say anything or she will say you are uptight, can't you take a joke. It's crazy all the hidden ways we cut each other down.

Eerily accurate…and very interesting.
I'm not normally one to shy away from expressing my opinion but I have a friend who won't even stand up to her kids. Those kids are already learning how to manipulate their mother and other women. What kind of happiness does she have? Not enough, really!

Hmmmm. . . can anyone say Greg Robinson? ;)

Ya Suz, Greg was a master at the craft, but I think this is a great article because it points out that many people do it because of the attitudes they were raised with. They don't always realize they're being hurtful, or putting someone down, while others carefully hone their craft to keep control of the relationship. It's good to be aware of so we can stand up for ourselves, but more importantly, teach our daughters how not to buy into it. I wasn't really aware of how this works, until this article explained it so clearly, so I don't know that I taught you girls very well. But now you can teach your own, and reinforce to your girls that they don't have to accept that behavior, or let anyone take away their voice. So glad you shared this. xoxoxo

Between you reading the HuffPo and Kristina owning 2 homes I just can't keep up on the snobbery.
