Tip Tuesday-Coconut Oil To Shave Your Legs?!

One day I was wandering aimlessly through Pinterest and ended up somewhere that I can't even remember.  I do remember that I was pursuing some sort of yummy sounding body scrub.  Although the rest of the post seemed like more work than was likely to happen, the post did mention the fabulousness of shaving your legs with coconut oil.  I really wish I could remember where it was so I could link to it.  Alas, that is not going to happen any time soon so I'll just have to send that unknown blogger positive thank you vibes and hope for the best.
Because the coconut oil for shaving legs was so highly recommended, I decided to give it a try.  It's not all that surprising since I've made my love of coconut oil public in the past.  And I must say, I was not disappointed at all.  It's like shaving your legs and putting on the best lotion ever all at the same time!  Plus, it's actually one less thing you have to do.  It's multitasking at it's finest.  And it actually works.

One day while thinking deep thoughts in the shower (it's the only uninterrupted place in the house....usually) I thought to myself, "Self, it's too bad you don't shave your arms because then you could use the coconut oil on them and your arms would be just as soft as your legs".  And then it occurred to my rather slow brain that I could actually put the coconut oil on my arms even though I don't shave them.  And it was wonderful!

Then, naturally, came the application of coconut oil on my face during the shower instead of waiting until after.  Not only do I use less, but it's so much better.  It absorbs quickly and is one less thing I have to do after getting out of the shower.  Because apparently I am the laziest person ever.  But I have well hydrated skin so it all works out.

This is great to know. I have 2-3 full jars of this just laying around not being used so now I have a reason to use it. : ) Thanks!

I am so glad I'm not the only deep-thinking showerer. :D I'm about to jump in the shower, and I'm tempted to try this! But I think I'll wait till the top of my shower gel busts AGAIN (I swear I can never get half of the can used!)

Q: Does it make your face break out, or feel oily??

I am just going to whip up my own coconut oil tomorrow, in between refinishing my dresser, and sewing a new slipcover.
