The Ecomaids Save The Day!

Well, okay, maybe they didn't exactly save the day, but they did a great job cleaning my house.

ECOMAIDS of Salt Lake has just recently opened up here in the Salt Lake Valley and I was lucky enough to be able to have them come to my home and give it a thorough cleaning...between piles of random crap.  And they were nice about it!

After they had a little tour of our sprawling estate to see which rooms they would be cleaning, they got started.  They use cleaning products that are Non-toxic, Chemical-free, All-natural and Biodegradable so it's safe for all members of your family whether they be of the kid variety, pet variety or sensitive to chemicals variety.  Being of the chemical sensitive variety, I can tell you that these cleaners did not bother me or my asthma even the slightest bit.
And clean they did!  My stove top has not been this shiny bright since the day we installed it.  For the life of me I cannot get that blasted thing clean.  But now I have a fighting chance since anyone can purchase their cleaning products directly from them.
I do actually manage to get my microwave pretty clean, but still....doesn't that look gorgeous?!
They vacuumed and mopped and dusted and were generally wonderful.
Paige even killed a spider for me!  I was sorting through my kids crayons/pencils/markers (what? you don't neurotically sort things when people are cleaning your kitchen for you?) and a nasty, well fed spider climbed out of the artistic utensil holder I was cleaning out.  I may or may not have screamed and ran across to the other side of the kitchen.  It's only about 10 steps so I wasn't exactly winded but I was totally freaked out.  And she didn't even laugh at me!  She's a good sport.

One of my favorite parts?  It has to be the fancy folded toilet paper.  I may start doing that every time I use the bathroom just because I love the way it looks.
They were respectful and pleasant and Paige even listened to me prattle on about cycling and my dog (no connection whatsoever).   They were even good to Dexter who tends to be kind of needy when we have company over.  And when we don't.

And they left me a thank you note.  For coming to clean my house.  I feel like I should bake them cookies or something.
Overall, I've been very happy with my experience with ECOMAIDS of Salt Lake.  They are professional and local and just plain nice.

And I was thrilled to hear about their involvement with Cleaning for a Reason which is a foundation that offers free cleaning services for women who are undergoing treatment for cancer.  If you know of anyone who could benefit from this sort of help, please contact Cleaning for a Reason to submit their information.  Plus you can request ECOMAIDS of Salt Lake!

Lucky for you, ECOMAIDS Salt Lake has generously given me two $50 gift certificates to give away to TWO lucky winners!  Yay!  And it can even be used with their Grand Opening Special which is their Full House Initial Service cleaning which includes your kitchen, living room, dining room area, entrance, hallway and stairs, one bedroom and one bathroom.  All that for only $79 (regularly $159).  So even if you don't win, that is seriously a great deal.  (For more information check out their Special Offers Page.)

I think we are going to relist our condo next month, so I need a good cleaning! We gotta get rid of the bodies.

I would love a good cleaning. Especially the bathroom. I don't know why it take me so long to get around to cleaning that room. With my allergies its a pain to clean it and have a headache for hours afterwards!

so sad it's only for SL county people :( you know, Davis county isn't really that far away :(

Well, that would be a toss up between my bathroom and my kitchen.

It would be nice to have someone else clean my house besides me. It would be a nice break for me, if I win!

My messiest room is always the toy room, that's why it's in the basement where no one can see. :) Thanks for the giveaway, my fingers are crossed!

My house is begging to win this contest (I'm kinda on a fence about it, though). Easily the worst room is the girls' bedroom. Between the dress up clothes, hair bows, hamster bedding, tiny little plastic thingamajigs, and random books, it's a disaster. I insist that they keep their door closed.

I already "like" you on Facebook (and IRL) and follow your blog...but I probably don't qualify, as I'm way down in Happy Valley.

My messiest room is the house, is of course, our bedroom. I'm thinking of renaming it the spot where laundry goes to die.

And my carpets are begging for someone to come and give them a good vaccuuming, I think ours is made out of tinker toys or something and we won't even talk about woodwork or shower grungies. Hey, I work 60 hours a week, so woodwork is not always on my agenda!

So my house would be very happy if I won this! it's either that or we'll have to invite my husband's Aunt Lucy for another visit. She may be 80 years old, but she can clean a sink like no one I've ever seen!

I already follow you and Ecomaids. What else was there? See my ADD is showing again.... Sounds better than oldtimers disease!

I tweeted. Whoops, feels like I should say "excuse me" or something.

I think there's a good reason why Twitter rhymes with fritter as in fritter your day away....

I couldn't figure out how to URL it, but I'm sure you'll see it there somewhere.

As for the picture of my messy room. No way, Jose. That one needs to be buried with Jimmy Hoffa. I wouldn't even let the Ecomaids see that one. They'd run screaming out of the house! (It will be significantly improved before they get here, for sure)

Our kitchen could surely use a cleaning! I rarely ever do the dishes (leave those to the hubs) and Penelope has a bad habit of spilling all over the place. Our floor is always sticky. yuck.

The bathrooms! YUCK! HELP!

I would love to win this! My floors are always a mess - sweeping is my most hated chore!

It would depend on the day, either my bedroom or the family room, where the epic messes occur. However, any help in cleaning in any room is lovely because they use products that don't aggravate allergies. They sound wonderful!

I'm having a baby in 1.5 weeks! I would LOVE someone to come and do some seriously cleaning before I have the baby! Do they travel to Provo?! I'm happy to pay any traveling fees if I win. My neighborhood friends and I have been looking for some house help. Thanks!
