A Day In The Life. We all have times when we want to be a fly on someones wall. I find it fascinating to see what people's lives are like. What they are really like. So I'm sharing a few glimpses of my life with you. Now, I wouldn't call this a typical day....I don't make Mother Teresa costumes everyday. But I wouldn't call it atypical either. There is always something....a Mother Teresa costume, mother-daughter book club, a sick friend who needs dinner brought it, science projects, unplanned babysitting...you get the idea. A real day in the life.
My day started (after getting the kids off to school) with a trip to Walmart with nothing but desperate hope that I would be able to find some supplies for Lolly's costume.
Oh yes....the costume. She has a project that she does each month for her 2nd grade class. This month it was a biography on the famous person of your choosing. She did the project on her own with my main contribution being the trip to the library where she could find the books on Mother Teresa that would make it possible to do her project. Unfortunately when I quickly scanned the information page about this month's project, I misunderstood the costume clause. I thought it was optional. It was not.
So, off to Walmart for some sewing supplies and a few grocery supplies as well. Babs loved the fruit arrangement on the counter and insisted I take a picture. And send it to CG. Behold...the fruit. And a cucumber.
But before I could sew, I needed to make some bread. So, ya know, we would have some bread.
Then I got started on the costume. Just after this picture I picked up Lolly from school.
After a couple hours, I finished. And my Lolly girl was happy.
But she liked this picture better so it must be shared as well.
And then I cooked a little dinner. It was a dinner experiment and ended up quite yummy.
Finished up a little kindergarten homework with Babs.
Then we put the kids to bed, I took a shower and, after finishing the last few chapters of the book for my book club, I fell asleep. I know. I'm a super exciting person in the evenings.
As a matter of fact, I do believe it's past my bedtime now....
