In the interest of full disclosure and a lack of anything entertaining to write about, I have chosen an embarrassing moment to share with all 3 of my adoring fans. As those of you who know me in real life can attest, I'm not exactly what you would consider "athletic", but I try just the same. A few years ago, BC (before children), I used to actually go to the gym more than once a week and took a Pilates class on Tuesday evenings. This one particular summer evening I was running a little late, which usually never happens to me! It was a very crowded class and I wanted to be able to get one of the prime spots in the back of the classroom so that there were a limited number of people that could watch my pathetic attempt at flexibility. I was fully decked out in my yoga pants and flip flops with the requisite bottle of water. As I was running up the stairs, I had the misfortune of tripping....and totally sprawling on the stairs right by the group of people waiting to get into the class. Oh, but it gets better. The lid on my water bottle was up, so not only did I trip in front of a bunch of people, but I sprayed myself in the face with water at the same time. Classy! But I pulled myself up off the stairs, mostly because I didn't really have a choice, and bravely went up the last three stairs only to find the entire group of people waiting for the Pilates class staring at me with the look that says "seriously, you shouldn't be here". But I went to the class anyway because I figured that I was already there, so I might as well stay. And I knew if I left now, I would probably never go back!
So, there you have it. A look inside the life of me. It's a good thing that I've learned to laugh at myself because otherwise I might be the only one not laughing!

Ah the family athletisim strikes again. Are we cursed? That sounds like something I would do! I foundly remember the time Suz was called as the sports director and something about volleyball... They say true humor is the ability to laugh at ones self. I just didn't realize I would be laughing so often!!!
And might I add, atleast you didn't kick yourself in the face in front of the whole school...Yep, sad but true!
Hey now. . . leave me out of it. Although I can't deny my own athletic abilities as my honeymoon blog will atest. Kevin is looking forward to going golfing with Brad and the boys who actually know what they're doing.
I'm sad to say that the "athletic trait" sadly is a genetic gift rather enviromental failure. You don't need to ask how I know that xoxoxo
Instead of admitting that we're athletically challenged, let's just tell people that we do it on purpose to make others feel better about themselves. Because we're nice like that. ;o)
