I've had a few interesting chats with Babs lately. The kind of chats that you can only have with a not-yet-two year old. Or maybe someone who has been drinking.
As I sat finishing up my breakfast, Babs was walking back and forth on the bench and chatting with me. She decided it would be lots of fun to put one hand down the front of my shirt to aid her in playing with the Superman logo on the front of my pajamas.
Me: "Babs, this is what we would call invading someones personal space."
Babs: "K".....and continues doing exactly what she was doing before.
Another time I was sitting on the couch with the laptop when she came walking up to me with something to say and her binky in her mouth.
Babs: "Eee-ooo."
Me: (thinking she's saying thank you) "You're welcome sweetie."
Babs: "No, eee-ooo."
Me: (not sure what she's saying thank you for, but going along with it) "You're welcome sweetie."
Babs: (pulling her binky out of her mouth & throwing it on the floor indignantly) "NO! Pee-A-Boo!"
Me: (laughing) "Oh, peek-a-boo!"
Babs: Smiles. Nods. Walks away happily.

She is so adorable and a joy to tend. I was touched and fascinated with her need and obsession with finding the poor ballerina's shoe, which if it is like most Barbie shoes, has already gone on to barbie shoe heaven. She has an endless list of places to look, though so if anyone ever can find it, it will be Babs.xoxoxo
Wow, those conversations are so familiar. Especially the hand down the shirt part. What is with that? :) Babs is a cutie patootie.
I love it!
That is the cutest picture of Babs and the conversations were so sweet. She's a cutie!
