In honor of my new Chinese cookbook we decided to have a little New Years Celebration. It was pretty fun and involved a lot of chopping and distracting of the kids. I had wanted to dress the girls in their cute little kimono outfits for the occasion, but by the time I got dinner on the table I just didn't have it in me to get the girls dressed. Again. And do their hair. Again. But, let me tell you, it was a pretty shnazzy affair none the less!
The Meal!
Cashew Chicken, Cold Sesame Noodles and Ham & Egg Fried Rice. And home made grape juice.
Me and My Girls!
Dinner Is Served!
The After Dinner Carnage
She looks like a pretty happy customer to me!
Maybe now that it's the Chinese New Year I'll finally get around to making my resolutions....

Hey I want to see your recipes! I am not very creative like that. Please share. Thanks!
That sounds delicious! I just had left overs. Can I come to dinner at your house?
I love that you are introducing your children to celebrations from other cultures at such a young age...and in such an inspired and tasty way. The pictures are proof of what a good time everyone had!
I don't want to miss these types of posts. I am adding you to our reader and subscribing to everything!

Sounds yummy and exhausting.
What a fun idea!! I am so not worthy!
It looks like a wonderful dinner with two of your cutest customers. I see the candle lit dinner really was a big hit and was part of the Chinese New Year celebration. How fun!
